Put Croydon cycling on the map
Croydon Cycling Campaign want your help in drawing up the first ever all-London cycle route map, which is being prepared for publication next year by Transport for London and the London Cycling Campaign.
As well as the official London Cycle Network, the maps will show advisory routes that local cyclists have found meet the following criteria:
- are suitable for inexperienced cyclists
- are suitable for bikes carrying shopping or a child
- avoid busy roads and difficult junctions or are traffic-free
- avoid flights of steps (unless very short)
- are in the borough of Croydon
- go somewhere fairly useful!
Anyone with suggestions should send details to Jeremy Rickard at 20 Harrison's Rise, Croydon CR0 4LA, or email jeremy@croydon-lcc.org.uk by Thursday 9th August. There is an open invitation to join an inspection ride of all suitable routes on Sunday 12th August, with cyclists meeting at East Croydon station at 10am prompt.
